Transmission Inspection, Repair and Replacement

Why is it Important to Have Your Transmission Inspected or Repaired?
Having your transmission inspected as soon as an issue is detected is not only vital for the safety of you and your family, as well as other motorists – but may also save you money in the long run, by preventing further damage to the sensitive internal components of the transmission.

These can be expensive to repair, and may require a complete overhaul if the issue is not diagnosed early.Symptoms of a Transmission issue

• Engine light on dashboard
• Vehicle struggling to accelerate, or engine speed increasing with no increase of vehicle speed
• Shuddering coming through vehicle when driving
• Whirring, grinding or clunking noise coming from vehicle
• Vehicle has no drive, or cannot select gears Transmission Repairs or Replacement
Depending on what the vehicle requires, a repair or replacement of components will be carried out.

The mechanic will then top up the transmission fluid, clutch fluid (if required) and carry out a full system test to make sure the vehicle is in full operational condition.

A road test will then be carried out to ensure the repair/ replacement has rectified the issue and a final visual inspection to make sure no fluid is leaking from the vehicle. How Much is a Transmission Repair or Replacement?
The cost of carrying out transmission repairs or replacement varies between make and model.

With basic repairs costing between $200 – $800 and extensive repairs costing anywhere between $1000 – $5000+, especially if the transmission requires complete overhaul or replacement.

Rebuild Rotary Engine

The rotary engine was an early type of internal-combustion engine, usually designed with an odd number of cylinders per row in a radial configuration, in which the crankshaft remained stationary in operation, with the entire crankcase and its attached cylinders rotating around it as a unit. Its main application was in aviation, although it also saw use before its primary aviation role, in a few early motorcycles and automobiles.

We rebuild MAZDA RX7 or RX8 engines for racing performance and durability!

Steering and Suspention

front-suspension

The job of a car suspension is to maximize the friction between the tyres and the road surface, to provide steering stability with good handling and to ensure the comfort of the passengers.

The steering and suspension system is made up of various components such as tie-rod ends, bushes and ball joints, these components wear over the course of normal use but actions such as hitting a pot hole can speed up the wearing of these components. Worn affect the handling, safety and ride of your vehicle.
